If you're anything like me, you need a certain type of summer book. The Au Pairs (series) by Melissa de la Cruz, was just the book I was hoping for. It was very dramatic and pretty unrealistic, but also very glamorous and beachy.
What It's About: Eliza, Mara, and Jacqui are all expecting different things when they come to the Hamptons as au pairs for the uber wealthy Perry family. Mara certainly doesn't expect to fall in love, Jacqui thinks she can get everything off of her looks, and Eliza has a master plan to become an It Girl again. The most unlikely part of their summer was the friendship that the three of them formed. Over the next few summers, the parties get wilder, the girls get more popular, and the drama gets a lot crazier.
