The Au Pairs

I don't know about you guys, but the start of summer always make me want to read a beachy book. When I saw the Au Pairs, a realistic fiction novel by Melissa De la Cruz, I thought it would be the perfect book for a summer read. I was mostly right. While it was beachy, girly, funny, and an easy read, it was also a little boring. I wanted something with a little more conflict, and something less predictable. This book is great to read on the beach, or if you love reading about the Hamptons and glamorous social scenes. This book is part of a series, and I plan on reading all of them this summer. Stay tuned for more about these books!
What it's about: The Au Pairs is about three outsiders who spend a crazy summer in the Hamptons. Mara needs a job, and when she sees this advertisement (being paid $10,000 to spend the summer in the Hamptons!) she jumps at the oppurtunity. But small town girl Mara has no idea what she's really in for.
After her family went broke, Manhattan's used to be It Girl has hit rock bottom. Now Eliza is determined to get back on top. When she sees that she can be an au pair in the Hamptons, she thinks that this is her chance. Will she be able to keep her families crisis a secret? Or will Eliza sink back to the bottom?
Jacqui fell in love with Luca when he came to Brazil. After he left back to America without giving her any information about himself, she's determined to find him again. The only knowledge that Jacqui has of Luca is that he's been to someplace called the Hapmtons. After googling it for many days, she finds a way that she might be able to get out ofBrazil, and to the Hamptons. Will Jacqui find the love of her life, Luca?
