I hate to say it, but I am one of those people that reads books just because they are movies. I try never to watch the movie first, but then by the time I finish the book the movie is out of theaters. And movies are just sooo much better on the big screen! This is a perfect example of what happened with me and the book Divergent by Veronica Roth. It was getting so much press that I couldn't not read it! So I started to read it. And let me tell you, I wish that I had read it earlier!!! It was ah-mazing. I actually may have fell slightly in love with Four. Now I am just sitting around waiting for the movie to come out on DVD so that I can watch it's miraculous plot brought to life. (And to see Theo James as Four! *insert heart eye emoji*) If you want a book that you absolutely cannot put down, READ DIVERGENT!! I finished it in one day! Even my friends who hate reading flew through this book. It draws you in to Tris and Four's world and makes you never want to leave. It's the perfect read for the beach, the lake, a rainy day, or if your dear mother is forcing you to read this summer. Just try reading it, and I highly doubt you will regret it.

What It's About: Beatrice Prior is fine with her life as a Abnegation, devoting her life to helping others. But she feels that there is more to her. Maybe she isn't meant to be what her parents, neighbors, and peers expect her to be? On the day that she has to decide what she is, her results come out inconclusive in a perfect system. These results put Beatrice into a category known as "Divergent" But what is a Divergent? Why is it dangerous? Beatrice is alone on the journey to find out. She knows she is different, but it was never supposed to be like this. Her life is in danger because of her test results, and she knows she cannot do anything to change that. She must find out what it means and what she needs to do as a Divergent before someone finds out before her.
